How we work
What gets in is decided at the edge.
We define what terminates at your network edge, what gets inspected and what gets balanced, instead of leaving it undefined and guessing during an incident.
Typical starting points
- „Nobody can tell us exactly where a given connection terminates.“
- „If one gateway goes down, the whole service goes down.“
- „We're running a leased line where a gateway would do.“
What we do
We map what actually happens at your perimeter: which connection terminates, which traffic gets inspected, and where load gets balanced instead of just passed through. That produces a design with clear responsibility per device. Where a routed connection only carries traffic through, we check whether a gateway that terminates and inspects it is the better choice. For services that can't go down, we design for high availability: two paths, so a failure doesn't show.
How we start
- Week 1
Assessment
What actually terminates, inspects and balances at your perimeter, and what's only assumed.
- Weeks 2 to 4
Design
Responsibility per device, high availability for critical services, gateway instead of route where it makes sense.
- afterward
Implementation
Step by step, with a test phase per path before the old one is switched off.
For your IT
Perimeter firewalls, reverse-proxy gateways, load balancers, VPN termination, high-availability pairs, failover between sites.
Including Cisco, Check Point, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet.
When the line only carries traffic through that a gateway can terminate and inspect just as well, usually cheaper and with more control.
No. We decide that per service, based on what an outage actually costs.
