One single source describes what runs in your environment. Everything else reads from it, nothing runs alongside it.

Our position
No knowledge, no control. That is not a discussion point, it is the basis of every engagement we take on. So we start by building one single source of truth for your inventory: every system, every dependency, in one place. Automation, checks and reporting all read from that one source, never from a copy, never from what someone remembers. A customer who wants to skip this inventory is a customer who will not end up in control of their environment.

For your IT
We keep the source of truth in plain YAML and CSV files, versioned in Git. AI-assisted tooling works more reliably with this format than with a database or a UI.
We used to run NetBox and comparable tools for this. The requirement never changed, the format did.
